FAQ

How long have you been in the business?
I started my own professional wedding DJ business in Rhode Island over sixteen years ago. Before that I spent four years learning the industry and realized that, for many other in the business, customer service was not a high priority. I quickly understood that it was time to strike out on my own and do things the right way.

How many functions can you handle at one time?
Because customer service is so important to us, we only take on one function each night. We could do more events each day, but we feel that our concentration on your special event would suffer.

Do you offer consultation services and what do you charge for that service?
In order to create a custom experience for your function according to your desires, each and every wedding that we provide services for includes a FREE consultation. We will set up this consultation between two to four weeks before your event to ensure that we provide the music that will set the tone for your special day. This is just another extra step that we take to ensure that customer service is our main goal.

Are we allowed to submit our own music?
We are hired to provide a service for YOUR function. This is your event. Your taste in music is our top priority. We will supply you with as many suggestions as you need, but you don’t have to choose to use a single one. We do not take it personally. We understand that this is your important event and that we are here to provide a service.

Can we create a personalized playlist?
Our goal is to provide our clients with a fully customized wedding DJ service, which includes the creation of a personalized playlist. Songs that you want played during your ceremony or at the reception are included, as well as a “do-not-play list” of songs that you don’t want included at your special event. Weddings are our business and we understand how important music is for setting the tone for your function.

What is your normal wedding attire?
Professionalism is as important to us as it is to you. Both our Emcee and DJ are dressed in a full black and white tuxedo. We do not dress in flashy clothing to draw attention to ourselves and we ask on our contract what type of wedding attire you would like us to wear. We can also wear business casual or other theme wedding party attire in addition to tuxedos.

How varied is your music collection?
We have a wedding DJ music collection that spans from the 1940s on up to today’s Top 40. We can play country music and pop, as well as classical music and rock. All of the songs that we use comes from a professional company that specializes in servicing the DJ community. What this means is that every song we use has been professional radio edited for high quality and customer satisfaction.

Do you take requests?
We provide your guests with “request cards” as part of our Gold Wedding Package services. We can choose to ignore any songs that are requested that are on the “do-not-play list” that you submit to us during your professional wedding DJ consultation.

Can you provide ceremony music as well?
Yes. Our Silver Wedding Package allows for on-site ceremony music and our Gold Wedding Package allows for on- or off-site ceremony music as well, all included in the quoted price.

How do I need to pay for your services?
We are now able to accept payments online via PayPal, one of the most trusted sources for online payments available. Choose from credit card, debit card or direct debit options to pay the deposit or residual balance quickly and easily through our website.

What type of equipment do you use?
In order to provide truly customized wedding DJ services to our clients, we provide everything from our state-of-the-art light show to our cordless microphone included in the price. We also rely on Mackie Speakers, the industry’s leading brand for mobile DJs. They are individually powered providing the best possible sound for your function.

All of our lighting uses LED technology, which means that it can run all night long. We have the ability to cover the floor, as well as the walls, with light according to your specifications. Don’t forget our newest lighting addition – GOBO. Now we have the ability to personalize your event in lights.

Will you bring back-up equipment?
All of our music is backed by CDs and our power equipment is backed up by an additional set. This is yet another advantage to only scheduling one function each night. We have access to all of our top equipment for each event.

Do I need to have an Emcee? What is is role?
The role of an Emcee at a wedding is to make all of the announcements for each of the events that happen within your function, such as cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet, etc. An Emcee also works to keep the flow going throughout your function. All of our employees are professionally trained to be both an Emcee and a DJ.
